Latest News - Bomb exploded in India, 9 Killed, 45 Wounds

Bomb Originated from a suitcase that exploded at the gates of the courts of New Delhi.

A bomb exploded at the front gate of the High Court of New Delhi, India, Wednesday, September 7, 2011. At least nine people were killed and 45 others injured.

According to the Associated Press, a bomb exploded at 10 am local time. At that time, the gate was crowded community who lined up to enter the courthouse. Bomb allegedly came from a suitcase placed at the gate.

Witnesses said the blast shocked the whole courthouse. Lawyers and judges suddenly fleeing. "Smoke is everywhere. People were running, screaming. Blood was also seen scattered. Very scary," said one lawyer, Sangeeta Sondhi.

Shortly after the blast, residents flocked to the location to save the victims. Directly injured victim was rushed to the hospital. "It looks like coming from the suitcase bomb, because we found the carcass of the suitcase," said Home Minister of India, RK Singh.

At least nine people were killed and 45 others injured. There is not any group that claimed responsibility for the bombing.

This event is the second largest terrorist incident that happened in India this year. Earlier on 13 July, three bombs exploded in Mumbai, killing 20 people. The culprit is suspected Indian Mujahideen militants. There are no suspects had been caught. (Adi)
