Japan Meteorological Agency Talas hurricane which is the 12th typhoon this season, walked slowly toward the north through the Sea of Japan. Typhoons are reported across the island of Shikoku in the north and the island of Honshu on Sunday night.
Because of the slow pace of the typhoon, the agency warned of heavy rains will continue and high winds that could potentially cause flooding and landslides.
