A bomb exploded at a private hospital near the monument Taj Mahal in Agra city, India. Three people were wounded by these events.
Reporting from the BBC website on Saturday, September 17, 2011, an explosion occurred in the reception area Jai Hospital. According to the police spokesman Uttar Pradesh, the hospital window pane is broken, and the waiting area devastated by the blast.
All three victims were in the waiting room when the blast occurred. One of the victims suffered burns.
"It's hard to figure out the motive behind the blast. However, the type of bombs used in the blast was not a professional assembly," said Inspector PK Tiwari. "My guess, the bomb used was a amateur homemade bomb."
Police at the scene said they had seen some lunch boxes and unclaimed bicycles on site before the incident. Home Minister of India stated that this case is being investigated and it is in the process of gathering evidence from the scene.
The blast came a day after Prime Minister Manmohan Singh warned India's senior police officials about the lack of security of their country today.
"The security environment in this country continues to be uncertain. A terrorist attack recently occurred in Mumbai and Delhi can remind us of the terrorists in India," Singh said in a press conference on Friday.
