MotoGP News - Lorenzo eyeing a third successive victory

The second MotoGP series is in sight. On 29 April 2012, the most prestigious motor race will be held on the plains of Europe, the Gran Premio de Espana alias Spanish GP.

Yamaha rider Jorge Lorenzo is determined to strengthen its position in the standings. Moreover, the next race will be held in his homeland. Plus the two previous seasons, Lorenzo has always been the quickest at the Jerez circuit.

"I am very happy to return to Jerez again. We've done a test here and the results are very good," said Lorenzo told crash.net.

"I always get a good result at Jerez. But the competition will be tight. I estimate that Casey (Stoner) and Dani (Pedrosa) will perform faster as well."

In the standings, Lorenzo leads with 25 points. Pedrosa (Honda) had a 20 followed by Stoner (Honda) with 16 points.

Team manager Wilco Zeelenberg Honda is pinning high hopes on Lorenzo. He gave a target on Lorenzo to be a champion in Jerez for the third year in a row.

"After what you achieved in Qatar, we are sure you have a fast bike," Zeelenberg. viva
